Ski Lessons

Hakuba Snowsports School, based at Goryu Iimori Snow Resort, offer both group and private ski and snowboard lessons to English speaking customers.
Both adults and children may learn skiing or snowboarding in a safe and enjoyable environment, guided through the process with well trained instructors.

Skiing and snowboarding should be an enjoyable experience for all, being out in a natural environment, sliding with ease over the prestine slopes of the mountains. But to do this, one must learn the techniques to be able to balance on a moving platform whilst maintaining speed control.
Your ability to control your speed effectively and efficiently will dictate where you can go and how much fun you have.
Hakuba SnowSports instructors will give you all the information and training you need to have the time of your life on the slopes. Whether you are a freestyle guru or an absolute beginner we have a friendly and professional instructor for you.

Group Lessons 

Hakuba Snowsports School provide group lessons for the development of students in both skiing and snowboarding. Make new friends and learn from your peers in a lesson with a maximum of 8 people per group.

Please note :

If there is only 1 person in the group the lesson will only go for 1 hour rather than 2.

Group Lessons are available for all people from 5 years of age for skiing and 7 years of age for snowbaording.

Lessons are for complete beginners to advanced.

Lessons Times and Prices :

Adults and Childrens Lessons

Morning Lesson :

9:45am - 11:45am, ¥5000 yen per person for both adults and children.

Afternoon Lesson :

1:00pm - 3:00pm, ¥5000 yen per person for both adults and children.

Please be ready to meet 15 minutes prior to lesson start time. Lessons will leave on time!

Special Childrens Programme:

Lessons for children can be booked for full days, this programme includes two lessons and lunch. Supervision is provided during the lunch break. The price is ¥10000 per child for the day.

Private Lessons

Private lessons are available for those individulas who would prefer more individual help or for groups who would like their own instructor, requesting of your favourite instructor is possible.

Private lessons for skiing and snowboarding are available, from 3 years of age for skiing and 5 years of age for snowboarding.

Lessons can be done by the hour, by half day (3 hours) or full day (6 hours).

The number of people in the lesson is up to the paying customer, there is no limit for the group size. This is a flat rate for instructors time

 Lesson Times & Prices :

1 Hour Lessons :

8:30am - 9:30am, 12:00pm - 1:00pm, 3:15pm - 4:15pm.

¥8500 yen per hour

Half Day Lessons (3 Hours) :

8:45am - 11:45am, 1:00pm - 4:00pm

¥25000 per half day.

Full Day Lessons (6 Hours) :

8:45am - 4:00pm, usually a 1 hour lunch break.

¥50000 per full day.
