A party of six men aged in their 60s have been confirmed dead after disappearing on Friday May 4th. The men were airlifted of Mt. Korenge after attempting to climb the highest peak in Hakuba, Mt. Shirouma (2,932 m)
Accordingly to the local news the men, who were not dressed for high alpine trekking, were caught off guard as the weather turned from rain to snow.
