It’s been a cold few days here in Hakuba with some ok snow falls on the mountain but generally speaking not the snow falls that Hakuba is so famous for. The higher resorts are open with their top lifts running. More should open up when more snow arrives next week.

The resort is starting to feel busy again. Most of the those lucky enough to come for a season are about in the town and settling in to their new jobs.

Most of the bars and restaurants are having soft openings in the preparation for the busy weeks starting after Christmas.

The new Hakuba Connect free magazine is out. A whopping 100 pages of stories, restaurant guides, where to ski and snowboard….as well as the best hotels to stay at. Make sure you to get a copy when you visit. If your accommodation doesn’t have a copy let us know and we will get one to you.(We are kind that way!) Alternatively you can pick one up at information centers, local coffee shops etc…
