Is there a direct train from Tokyo?
Yes, but only one a day. The Azusa leaves Shinjuku in Tokyo at 7.30am and arrives in Hakuba at 11.30am..Top of page!
Is the bus comfortable?
The bus is actually surprisingly comfortable. The bus makes frequent stops to stretch ones legs.Top of page!
How fast is the bullet train?
The bullet train travels very fast. It takes only 90mins to 2 hours, depending on which train, to reach Nagano from Tokyo Station.Top of page!
Can I send my skis/board by courier?
Yes you can. Many visitors both international and domestic send their equipment by courier. Please see Courier Article for more details.Top of page!
Where is the nearest shinkansen station?
The nearest Shinkansen Station to Hakuba is Nagano station - about 1 hour by bus from Hakuba.Top of page!
What is the Genki-Go bus??
Genki-Go bus is an evening shuttle bus that connects the accommodation areas to the towns apres ski spots. Cost is 300yen. Children under 6 travel free Please see Genki-Go Map for route .Top of page!
How can I get to the ski areas from my accommodation?
Most of the close ski areas have their own shuttle bus service. These stop close to most accommodations. Please check with the driver that they are going to the ski area that you want to go to. Please note which number/letter bus for your return journey.Top of page!
