| Can I use my credit card in Hakuba? Even though credit card payments are becoming more and more widespread in Japan, cash is still the king. This is down to very little crime in Japan. We suggest paying by credit card where you can but have enough cash just in case. Top of page! |
| Where can I withdraw money from? The ATMs at the 7/11 and the General Post Office take most foreign issued cards and the terminals are fully bilingual! Top of page! |
| What hours are the super markets open? Jusco, the largest supermarket in the resort open everyday of the year from 9:am to 11pm. Check the Hakuba Map for location. Top of page! |
| Are there any nightclubs in Hakuba? Echoland is home to a couple of nightclubs QTips and Studio 902 with late night dancing. There is also Tracks bar over in Goryu. Please see the article on Nightlife for more details. Top of page! |
| Is there a laundry in Hakuba? We know of two laundries in Hakuba, one is located on the main Echoland St and another close to the post office in the center of town. Check the Hakuba Map for location. Top of page! |

| Can I drink the water? Yes. Being in the mountains means the tap water is very fresh and delicious.Top of page! |
| Are there any English speaking doctors in the resort? Most of the doctors in the resort speak plausible English. For more detailed requirements then we suggest using a translator. Ota Pharmacy located very close to the main Hakuba Train Station has English speaking staff to help you.Top of page! |
